I work for a large company that has its own foundation to help locals in need. Its a great cause, and I've seen how it helps those who are struggling. At Christmas time, they put together baskets and deliver them to people who have been having a hard time. This past year, I offered to make handmade cards to go with the baskets.
I used their standard long postcard, cut out the bird logo and punched out the "from". Of course the coordinating colors they use are retired SU! colors. So its been difficult to keep up with this design. Once I run out of those colors and can't find anymore, I'll have to re-design it to use other colors.
Kimberley, I just found your beautiful blog and saw this card while exploring it. How do you make this extraordinary bird? Is it cut with a bird die, then ...? I can't even guess how you would do it. I am so impressed!!
ReplyDeleteThe foundation I made this for created this bird. I used one from their paperwork, cut it out and attached it to my creation. It really is a beautiful bird, but I cannot take credit for its design. Thank you for visiting my blog! I've been horrible about keeping it up, but I truly do need to be better at adding to it.
